Meet my Family

My family is everything to me, without them I am nothing.

My heart and soul is my son Matthew, he will turn seventeen this November and that has me wondering where all these years have gone. I don’t feel any older than the day I had him, maybe a little wiser but i feel just as young. This year he is a sophmore at Siegel High School and he has recently told me he is interested in playing baseball this year -thank god it’s not football :) – he is also in the JROTC and on the Trapp team. He bought his first truck a few months ago and whew does it need work, it runs, but that is about it at this point. He also has his first girlfriend since we moved to Tennessee…so she is ALL he thinks about.

This may not be my favorite picture of Matt, but it signifies one of his favorite days ever, the day we brought Abby home and he got his dog, finally! I had only been trying to get a house for 15 years so that he could have his dog. Abby is a great labrador, she is now almost three and she is very protective of her Matt.

Here is Matt last Christmas with his 98 year-old great, great grandmother! This woman is the rock of my existence, without her no one in our family would be here. She is the hardest working and most loving and compasionate woman I have ever met. I just hope that someday I can measure up to the example she has set. She is amazing, she never falters when faced with a challenge, she actually sold her car to buy her house back in the day… not many people can say they have done that. She is my inspiration in life, and I love her dearly.

My grandparents actually made the 700 mile journey from Maryland to Tennessee this past May… I am still not sure how they did it. My great grandmother, my grandmother, grandfather and mother “drove” here from Maryland all 700 miles and 12 hours. My great grandmother helped both my sister and I purchase our homes and she was so determined to see them that they made the trip. It was so good to see them! I miss them so much. :(

I could not have asked for a better man to be my fiance than George. He is very loving, kind and loyal, his favorite past-time is pretending to bitch about things but its all in good fun. He has been working with Matt to get his truck working and I’m so glad because i know absolutely nothing about cars. :) This is my favorite picture of George, he looks so serene.

Robert is George’s son and is with us during school breaks and summer vacation. Robert is 9 years old and a goofball, he was recently in the Center Stage Academy summer camp at the Center for the Arts here is a clip of his performance. I hope you enjoy it as much I did.
